Kevin J. Odell
Kevin J. Odell received a bachelor's degree with honors from Revelle College of the University of California at San Diego in 1975. Thereafter, he attended the California Maritime Academy, receiving a bachelor's degree and an unlimited Third Mate license upon graduation in 1979. For the next eight years, Mr. Odell sailed aboard oil tankers ranging in size from a 26,000 ton lightering tanker to VLCC vessels. He now holds an unlimited tonage Master Mariner license. In 1991, Mr. Odell graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law. While at USF, he participated in the founding of the University of San Francisco Maritime Law Journal and served as Editor of that publication's 1990 All Circuit Case Survey. He was a judicial intern with the Honorable William A. Ingram, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. Mr. Odell was a lawyer with Emard & Perrochet and subsequently with Kaye, Rose & Partners. He has considerable experience in the defense of a variety of maritime, environmental, labor and contractual matters.
