Atlantis Tillman Langowski
Atlantis Tillman Langowski has been practicing law since 1999. She obtained her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University in 1992, where she served as editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper. In 1999, she graduated cum laude from The University of Houston Law Center, where she served as Articles Editor of the Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Langowski worked in the oil and gas industry in Houston, Texas. She has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation in state and federal court, as well as in arbitration. Her practice has included representation of foreign and domestic ship owners, charterers and insurers in a variety of matters, such as personal injury and wrongful death, oil pollution investigations, cargo damage and fuel contamination claims.
Ms. Langowski has advised and spoken on compliance with international environmental and safety treaties. She has also represented product manufacturers and distributors in design defect litigation and counseled them on compliance with state and federal laws. Ms. Langowski has worked with manufacturers of pleasure boat equipment, elevator components, industrial solvents, pesticides, candles and cosmetics. She has represented clients in construction defect and securities litigation, and has defended employment discrimination claims under state and federal law.
She is a charter member of the Women’s International Shipping and Transportation Association, and has served on the Young Lawyers Committee of the Maritime Law Association of the United States and on the steering committee of the Pacific Admiralty Seminar. Before becoming Of Counsel to Emard Danoff Port Tamulski & Paetzold LLP in 2009, Ms Langowski most recently was an associate with Keesal, Young & Logan, and Morrison & Foerster. Ms. Langowski is admitted in both California and Texas.
